Hello my Beautiful People! Welcome back! Tonight I am playing with some custom colors that are really gorgeous, and I so excited to use them in a Bloom Swipe and see what happens! Let's get started!

Semi Gloss Base1

(24 ounces Paint
2 ounces GAC800)

1. Amsterdam Paint
2. Australian Floetrol
(1 part paint
3 parts Aussie Floetrol)

the ratios I am using tonight are thicker than I used previously, but they are working better for me. I encourage you to experiment and find out what works well for you.

The first piece I did tonight worked beautifully, I love all the colors popping, and the Nickel Azo Gold mixed with Folk Art Treasure Gold Fire Opal is now my favorite color, followed closely by the Blue Violet mixed with Antique Copper! They both speed up my heart rate and fill me with giddy happiness!

I encourage you to have fun with your colors and mix things up.. add something sparkly to a color you love, add a bit of Black to deepen your favorite colors, its really fun!

The second pour on the square wood panels are also from Amazon.. but I don't like them. The wood is very thin, almost like Balsa wood.

I wish they made them in bigger sizes, I only found 8x8 and 8x10s, which is why I tried the other companies 12x12 (which I don't like)

The reason for using wood panels for Bloom Swipes is so you can resin them.. on a regular canvas the weight of the resin could cause sagging, which would not be good. Using the sturdy wood makes sure you won't have sagging when using resin.

I used the Glidden Semi Gloss Paint tonight, which was lovely. It was nice and thick, but did not dry anywhere near as shiny as the Behr Premium Plus Interior Exterior High Gloss Enamel. The Behr dried so shiny it looked like it was already varnished, which I guess also has to do with the varnish we add to the pouring medium.. but still a LOT shinier than the Semi Gloss. I might try mixing the two brands to get the thickness and the hi Gloss.
