In this video I'll show you how to carve a wooden ladle.
My friend Vince has asked me to carve a ladle for a local men's group, tepee sweat lodge.
My first piece of olive wood didn't make the cut... However I found an even better piece of scrap wood, which has resulted in a beautifully shaped ladle. I am glad I've managed to give this left-over tree branch another purpose and life.
I ended up cleaning up the timber with the TURBOPlane fitted onto a Power Carving Unit Grinder. I scooped out the wood with none other than a Ball Gouge.
