On January 30th and 31st, the Dubai Opera, a beacon of world-class performing arts, hosted the National Ballet of China's (NBC) Ballet Gala, blending timeless works from across the ages and around the globe. This performance, a significant stop on their UAE tour, captivated audiences in Dubai with a rich palette of ballet masterpieces.
Graced by the presence of Zhang Yiming, the Chinese Ambassador to the UAE and his wife Zhu Naizhen, Sheikh Saud bin Saqr al Qasimi, member of the UAE Supreme Council and ruler of Ras al-Khaimah, Li Xuhang, the Consul General of China in Dubai and his wife Ji Lianhua, alongside esteemed members of the royal families from Dubai, Ras al-Khaimah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, and consuls general from various countries, the event drew over 4,000 spectators from the UAE and beyond. Together, they celebrated NBC's inaugural Dubai performance, marking a vibrant chapter in the cultural exchange between China and the UAE.
