Occasionally you can find "Certified Refurbished" gear on amazon for discounted prices. Certified Refurbished products are tested and certified by the manufacturer or by a third-party refurbisher to look and work like new, with limited to no signs of wear.
Here is my experience buying one of Sigma's Certified Refurbished lenses. SPOILER ALERT I was unable to tell the difference between this lens and a new lens. Often times these are just repackaged returns that were never used and are sold as new.
