MD11 LANDING and DEPARTURE - MCDonnell Douglas MD11 Classic Trijet (4K)

This Western Global MD11 Freighter operated a cargo charter flight from Reznow via Cologne to Asia and after the landing of the MD11 it was broken for almost a week. I checked the landing footage several times but there was nothing special visible. The scheduled flight to Asia was canceled and after staying on the ground at cologne for almost a week tha aircraft was ferried back home to its maintenance base in the USA, Shreveport in Florida.

There wasn` t just a single MD11 that day. There were two of them and that` s why I was able to film the departure of at least one MD11 that day. Western Global is a company which only operates MD11 and B747 Freighters. It was founded by the former owner of Southern Air which used to operate several B747-200 Freighters.

Also not the wonderful sunset departure of the Star Air Boeing 767-200. I already packed my stuff together and was on the way to my car when I suddenly heard a loud engine spool up in the distance. It turned out to be a classic B767-200 which departed Cologne via runway 32R while the setting sun created a beautful atomosphere.
