Christmas 2025 will be a vital period for the Transpennine Route Upgrade as works are carried out at Deighton and Mirfield. In Deighton, the Whitacre Street bridge will be demolished from around December 24 onwards, while pre-cast concrete parapets will be lifted into place by a crane at the nearby A62 Leeds Road bridge. This video looks at those two worksites, plus Huddersfield, where a large crane could be seen at the HD1 compound. Latest scenes from historic Wheatley's Colliery bridge in Bradley also feature.
