THAT WAS THE WEEK THAT WAS was first broadcast by the BBC in Great Britain in November 1962. It could honestly claim to be at the absolute spearhead of satirical TV programmes and was completely novel in concept. Today's TV political satirists owe a real debt to these guys! It was presented by David Frost and also showcased the skills of Timothy Birdsall, Bernard Levin, Lance Percival, Kenneth Cope, Roy Kinnear, Willie Rushton, Al Mancini, Robert Lang, Frankie Howard, David Keanan and the magnificent Millicent Martin.
