Our first week of the year — and it was a cracker! We rolled straight into a solid short-period swell with decent wind on the first afternoon. The next day, the period increased, and it was well overhead with just enough wind to wing and kite, plus epic waves for surfing and foiling for the more intermediate to advanced crew.

Over the following days, the swell gradually dropped until it went flat midweek, before two more pulses of smaller long-period swell arrived, bringing the most amazing conditions for surfing and foiling for all levels to see out the rest of the week.

The wind gods gave us just one more small 2-hour window for wind sports for the rest of the week, but the vibe stayed high with so many of our other activities getting a solid run — foil drive, breath hold, freedive, spearfishing, snorkelling, fishing, island hopping, yoga, and more.

It’s hard to believe, but our incredible Fijian staff just seem to get better every year. They make our guests feel like they’re coming home each time they return — a huge vinaka vakalevu to all of them!

And of course to the guests — we are so grateful for you, because without you we wouldn’t get to do what we do. See you next year!
