🎉 After almost seven years of hard work, setbacks, and perseverance — I’ve finally secured a national training number in neurosurgery in the UK.
This video is a personal reflection on what it took to get here, how I navigated the disappointment of not getting in last year, and what it really means to succeed in one of the most competitive medical specialties in the country. I also share the unexpected twist — being awarded an Academic Clinical Fellowship (ACF) — and why that’s such a big deal for an aspiring clinical academic.
Whether you're thinking about applying to neurosurgery, curious about how medical training works, or just following the journey — thank you for being here. This one's a big milestone.
