Detroit High School Basketball Legend, A.J. Turner of Warren De La Salle, averaged 7.1 PPG 2.8 RPG and 2.3 APG in 121 games for and against High Major D1 programs between 2015 and 2020. During his first two years at Boston College, Turner's dynamic offensive capabilities shined alongside future NBA talents, Jerome Robinson & Ky Bowman, and as the best defender for the Eagles, A.J. found himself drawing assignments of future NBA stars like Jayson Tatum, Donovan Mitchell, Brandon Ingram, Malcolm Brogdon and others during peak years of ACC Basketball. After transferring to Northwestern before the start of the 2017-18 season and finishing his career with the Wildcats, Turner established himself as one of the key facilitators in the turn of the Northwestern Men's Basketball Program for good, mentoring players like Chase Audige & Boo Buie, who would go on to lead Northwestern to back-to-back tournament appearances for the first time in school history in the seasons that followed Turner's presence in the locker room. Turner's smooth game, lights-out shooting, springy athleticism, leadership and his natural playmaking ability separated the 6'7 Michigan-native as true standout talent.
