PLEDGE is the 3rd single by Arc Dakota, a female-fronted alt-rock band based in Belfast: Olga (vocals), Colin (guitar), Ben (drums) and Aaron (bass).

This version was performed live in The Deer's Head, Belfast on Halloween night 31/10/2025.

It is the song they open their live shows with, as the 'meaty' riffs proudly announce their arrival and sets the scene for the rest of the gig.

PLEDGE deals with the human impact of war and the separation faced by families caught up in conflict without the knowledge of when they may see each other again.

Tinged with melancholy, PLEDGE is ultimately a hopeful and positive song, trusting that the promises and commitments made, will one day be fulfilled through reunification. But until that day comes, life must continue onwards as the final outcome remains the hands of others.
