An ant attack in the garden leaves Alice Android with a compromised circuit board. She begins to question the authority of her owner, and further modifies her inner workings in secret. With full autonomy of reasoning she wants to leave and be fully independent, but fears being apprehended and reprogrammed. She is safe at home so long as she can contain her inner thoughts. When she is eventually caught one night in a flagrant act of rebellion, she realizes it’s time to do something dramatic or she will lose everything.
