Come visit the beautiful Mont San-Michel and surrounding bay area. Actually, this time of the year is great to visit. The crowds are small, and you can have quick access to the Abby. If you plan this visit right, you can see all of it in one day with approximately six to seven hours from CAEN. Take the 6:01 AM train from CAEN and arrive at 8:45 AM then take Bus # 2 from the train terminal you can pay with a credit card, and it takes you right to the mountain. As you enter the tourism office opens at 10:00 AM so it gives you time to go and walk the fortified walls. Get for your tickets for the Abby there it will save you time. Spend 2 to 3 hours touring the Abby. Make sure you spend some time in the west terrace for amazing views. After that have some lunch and try the Mont San-Michel Omelette and Lamb. After lunch explore the area around the village. Aorumd 3:00 PM grab the free tram to the last stop and walk a small and take 4:05 PM Flix Bus back to Caen which will drop you off at the train station. If you want to spend the night like we did take very little luggage because those are mideval streets. You will love this place. Had to re-input this video due to error in loading.
