After leaving Ureki, we found ourselves walking for hours down what seemed like a new or abandoned motorway - completely empty, eerie, and surreal. Just as we were starting to enjoy the peace… a huge rainstorm rolled in, soaking us completely.

We took shelter at a hidden gem: a family-run hostel with its own vineyard and wine cellar 🍷 It turned out to be one of my favourite places in Georgia so far - they cooked us a delicious Georgian feast and made us feel so welcome.
