This simple crochet stitch combination would make great lacy tunics, bed spreads, table runners, sweaters, blankets, etc. The stitch pattern is a two row repeat and you need a multiple of 6 chs + 4 to create any size crochet project you wish. The full written instructions are further below. ⬇⬇

HOW TO SLOW A VIDEO:

U.S. single crochet (sc) = U.K. double crochet (dc)
U.S. half double crochet (hdc) = U.K. half treble (htr)
U.S. double crochet (dc) = U.K. treble (tr)

ABBREVIATIONS:

FC - foundation chain (starting chain)
ch(s) - chain(s)
sl st - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
hdc - half double crochet
dc - double crochet
dc2tog - double crochet 2 together
YO - yarn over
st(s) - stitch(es)
sk - skip

SPECIAL STITCHES:

Double Crochet 2 Together (dc2tog) - YO, insert hook into designated st, YO and draw back through, YO and draw through 2 loops Repeat from * to * 1 more time. YO and draw through all 3 loops on hook.

WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS:

FC: Ch a multiple of 6 + 4.

Row 1: In 7th ch from hook, * (2 dc, ch 3, 2 dc) in same ch, sk 2 chs, dc in next ch. * Repeat from * to * across. Turn.

Row 2: Ch 5, sk 1 st, sc in ch-3 sp, ch 2, sk 1 st *dc2tog in next st, ch 2, sk 1 st, sc in ch-3 sp, ch 2, sk 1 st * Repeat from * to * across. Dc in turning ch. Turn.

Row 3: Ch 3, * sk ch-2 sp, (2 dc, ch 3, 2 dc) all in next st, sk ch-2 sp, dc in next st * Repeat from * to * across. Turn.

Repeat Row 2 - Row 3 for pattern.
