ONBOARD First Bristol - Service 16 City Centre to Fishponds (The wrong way! Read description!)

A full uncut journey aboard a Volvo B7RLE Wright Eclipse 2 single decker bus, on a brand new First Bus Bristol service introduced on Sunday 6th April 2025 - the 16 City Centre to Kingswood and Fishponds. Running via Feeder Road, Barton Hill, St George, Kingswood, Lodge Causeway, Fishponds, then a one way loop through Oldbury Court, and back to Fishponds(Straits Parade). Our journey is scheduled to take 54 minutes.

NOTE: When rewatching this video to add the (optional) captions of the the roads and bus stops passed during this journey, I discover that in fact the driver of this particular working didn't take the correct route through the Kingswood area. At the junction of Kingsway and Two Mill Hill Road, he should have turned right into Two Mill Hill Road and run through to Kings Chase Centre, Cecil Road, and Downend Road through to Lodge Causeway. Instead at the junction of Kingsway and Two Mile Hill Road, he continues straight on via New Queen Street and Charlton Road through to Lodge Causeway. Which means he by-passes the central Kingswood area! I'm not sure if actually he made a mistake here, or whether maybe there was a partial road closure or whatever to warrant taking this diverted route avoiding the central Kingswood area. Oh well! Additionally also, the driver doesn't run via the correct route through the Fishponds area, as he doesn't run via Lodge Causeway and Fishponds Road. But instead runs via Thicket Avenue, Thicket Road and Staple Hill Road! I think he's made a genuine innocent error here with the incorrect route he took through the Kingswood and Fishponds areas on the inaugural day of this new service. It may be the case that he's since been given feedback about this. So when watching this video, please be aware this isn't quite the correct route this service should be running! I don't have any plans to refilm a journey on this service again running the fully correct route! Though I expect, another YouTuber or two will soon have a full journey of this service running the fully correct route!
