Hey! Playing a G5 chord (also called a G power chord) rooted on the 6th string (low E string) is super straightforward. Here’s how to do it:
G5 Chord (Power Chord) on the 6th String:
• Index finger: 3rd fret of the low E string (6th string) – this is your G note.
• Ring finger: 5th fret of the A string (5th string).
• (Optional) Pinky finger: 5th fret of the D string (4th string) for a fuller sound.
• Only play the strings that are fretted (6th, 5th, and optionally 4th).
• Mute the rest or just don’t strum them.
