DakhaBrakha — Ptakh (full album)

As the Ukrainian carol says, Нова радість стала (A New Joy Has Come) — and so a new album by DakhaBrakha has come into being. It is titled «Ptakh» (The Bird) — the same name as one of the songs on the record, whose lyrics were written by Ukrainian writer Serhiy Zhadan. It is a text about a great dream — the dream of living freely on one’s own land.

We believe this music will become inspiration for some, hope for others, and for some — a space for reflection or an uncharted journey into our musical universe.

This is exactly what it is for us as well. And it is also a gesture of gratitude.
To everyone who upholds our Ukrainian world — thanks to whom we live and create music.
