CRYO ONLY Ayaka & Chongyun Teams!!! | Spiral Abyss 5.1 (F12 - 8*) | Genshin Impact

MAN. This one was a RIDE. It was not in my plans, but after ‪@mizuhashitsunoka‬ gave me the idea to do a Cryo Only run with a certain fitting soundtrack to go with it, the idea stuck in my head and I felt the urge to make it happen lol. However, having an account with no Ganyu nor Wriothesley meant I was in for quite the struggle c': . Sadly, try as I might, I could not get a 3* in Chamber 1, even though it was somewhat close, and after like 6h+ of attempts, I went with this run lol.

The 1st Half was consistently the easier one, and bringing my strongest Cryo unit (C6 Ayaka) to it might seem counter-productive, but Chongyun was a must in the 2nd Half, and I figured the synergies would play out better in both sides this way. I had to put Layla on a DEF/DEF/DEF build to make use of Peak Patrol Song (Xilonen's Weapon) and buff the team, along with her usual Tenacity of the Millelith. Kaeya was our off-field DPS while Aloy (YEP, ALOY) was our Noblesse buffer with a Burst that is both relatively fast and does some non-negligeable damage. Despite the limitations of OctoCryo, they pulled off some pretty good times!

For the 2nd half I was actually wondering who I'd highlight in the Thumbnail, because in truth the team had no specific main DPS, but I ended up going with Chongyun because he was SO instrumental for the whole run due to his Claymore Heavy Hits. I started labbing with Mika as the sustain, but eventually realized Charlotte would bring more to the table with both her Pneuma, her ToM and the fact she could also do some damage through Shenhe's Quills. Shenhe was basically the real "Damage Carry" in the team, while Rosaria could quickly procc her quills with her fast NAs while also providing strong off-field DPS with her Burst.

This is a rare video where the music I was going to use basically came BEFORE the video itself, it was kind of the reason I wanted to do Cryo Only lol. I put more work than usual into editing the songs and video so they'd sync well this time around, and was quite happy with the result. Hope you enjoy my mix of FF XIV Shiva themes with Cryo~

Furthermore, I'd say the style of this video is inspired by Sireula, F2PKeqing and Ken Rurouni in parts, so shoutout to them, and a large influence on this series has come from content creators like Xlice, Tuonto and Enviosity.
