Solo Cycle Mumbai to Goa 651 Kms in 6.5 days

My Experience: It was a long cherished dream to do this someday...well its a reality now...I just did travel from Mumbai to Goa on bicycle covering a distance 651 kms (4-june-15 to 10-june-15) in 6.5 days. Gone through all kinds of weather conditions sunny, humid, cloudy, raining & pleasant. Tasted different konkan cuisines everyday. Treated my eyes with beautiful hills, rivers, beaches & forts. Ride on all types of routes state & national highways, streets, upcountry & low country routes. Enjoyed short ferry trips. Saw thousands of alphanso mangoes falling from the trees... did eat many of them...trust me they were amazingly delicious & juicy. Drank atleast 65 ltrs of water & burnt 50000 calories during the journey. Climbed 15 massive ghats & more than 70 smaller ones too. Met up with hundreds of lovely people on the way who were very curious to know about me & they offered all the possible help including directions of routes, water, cycle repairing & washing without charging money. Not even a single person gave trouble ever. And yes one personal challenge that every cyclist face is the saddle pain...I too had it big time but kept a lot of patience & kept riding. I was very lucky to not have even a single tyre puncture. Thanks to my lovely Bike.

Day 1 - 120 kms
Day 2 - 98 kms
Day 3 - 50 kms (Massive Ghats)
Day 4 - 93 kms
Day 5 - 95 kms
Day 6 - 120 kms
Day 6.5 - 75 kms
In one word if i define the entire experience, it was "GREAT".

Success Mantra - Use your mind power by making extraordinary imagination and focus on success rather than failure. Having said that, planning & preparation is very important to avoid or face the challenges during the course of action. Self motivation & keeping yourself positive is yet another quality required to achieve our dreams.
