Nomadic Women | From Breakfast Making to Wall Building" 👩‍🍳🏠

We hear the gentle sound of the wind blowing in the plain along with the sound of herd bells...

Two nomadic women in colorful local clothes and floral headscarves are sitting next to a black nomadic tent. Their hands skillfully knead the local bread dough. The sun has just risen and the morning air is clean and pleasant.

"Today we have to start our work early. We want fresh bread and we have to fix the wall of the new house."

The wood fire is lit and the smell of fresh bread wafts in the air. One of the women skillfully puts the bread on the teak, while the other prepares fresh local butter and homemade cheese.

"I made this cheese from sheep's milk yesterday, it goes very well with hot bread."

After breakfast, both of them get up with energy. One brings a big bucket and the other starts mixing the special soil with a shovel.

"We have to sift the soil well. Then we add the straw little by little to make a good and strong mortar."

Carefully and patiently, they mix the straw with the soil and add water little by little. Their hands skillfully mix the soil and straw.

"My grandmother always said that mortar should be the right consistency. Neither loose nor hard."

Now the mortar is ready. With each other's help, they move the mortar buckets towards the unfinished wall of the new house. One applies the mortar on the wall by hand and the other smoothes it with a wooden trowel.

"These walls are older than many of our buildings today. My father used to say that my grandfather's house is still standing, with this straw mortar."

The sun is up and the women are still working. Sweat drips from their foreheads, but the smile does not leave their lips. The sound of their local singing mingles with the sound of birds...
