Super Mario Odyssey Captureless Narrow Valley (Last MCMM Moon)

Hello I have played a lot of Super Mario Odyssey over the past few years. In the game there are a lot of challenges you can complete once you find the normal game too boring. The one I have set my sights on is called minimum captures maximum moons. In this challenge, you collect as many moons as possible with only the three required captures to beat the game.

In this challenge, there are a lot of easy moons, and a lot of difficult moons. If you collect all of these moons, you will end with about 503 moons. However there are 523 possible moons that can be collected without capturing anything. This is where the category gets interesting.

The remaining 20 moons are locked behind 7 tricks that are so incredibly difficult that almost no human has ever completed them. This was the 7th and last of these tricks that I have completed.

This moon is infamous for being one of the most arduous moons to get in any category. To start with, you must do 3 Precise jumps in a row off the painting frames. The area you can land on for these jumps are incredibly small making it extremely hard to get 3 in a row. Once you get this jump you must do a 2 frame clip using the gusheon’s spray. If you can manage to do this clip close enough to the ground, you will land half out of bounds(which is good). If you don’t, you will fall into the void and you will need to do the 2 frame clip again. This clip is extremely hard considering these is no visual que to signify when the 2 frames are. So you must guess. If you clip and are lucky enough to land half out of bounds, you can do a jump to swim under the platform to get to the other side. If you get to the other side, you need to jump out of bounds and half out of bounds on the platform. This is incredibly difficult considering these wall is constantly trying to push you back in bounds, where you would have to do the 2 frame clip all over again. So your angle and position to jump back half out of bounds is incredibly precise. After this, you must get to the furthest spot on the platform without clipping back in bounds. If you can make it here, you must do a precise jump to get down while barely avoiding a death plain(which would require you to restart the entire thing). If you can avoid the death plain, you can barely jump down to the moon below.

This moon took me about 22 hours. This unlocks 1 moon bringing be from 522 to 523. This is the most amount of moons currently know to be possible Captureless. I am the 8th person ever to get every possible moon Captureless.
