満洲国が帝国に移行してから1年後の1935年に挙行された皇帝溥儀の日本訪問の記録で、冒頭に3月29日の送別の宴への皇帝御臨場を伝えたあとは、4月2日の新京出発から同月24日の広島県の宮島訪問までの旅程が収められている。中でも4月6日の横浜入港から、前年に天皇の名代として満洲を訪れた秩父宮雍仁親王が御召艦に出迎えに行く様子、御召列車で東京駅に到着した溥儀と昭和天皇との対面、無蓋の馬車による鹵簿、そして9日に昭和天皇と溥儀が臨んだ代々木練兵場での観兵式と15日に東京駅を発つまでの動静に多くの場面が費やされている。15日に東京を発った一行は京都、奈良、大阪、神戸、そして宮島を訪れたのち日本を離れた。要所要所に見られる望遠撮影に特徴があり、中間字幕は日中2か国語で併記されている。

「フィルムは記録する ―国立映画アーカイブ歴史映像ポータル―」では、1927年から1944年までの間に製作された30作品を新たに公開します。今回は、満洲帝国にかかわる歴史的瞬間をとらえた作品のほか、1930年代に発生した大事故と大災害の記録、戦前の日本の産業の姿を伝える作品など、戦争へと進む激動の時代を反映した様々な作品を集めました。国立映画アーカイブでは、今後も随時公開作品を増やしていく予定です。ぜひサイトをお訪ねください。

The seventh edition of this site presents 30 additional titles covering the years from 1927 to 1944. The selection includes a variety of works that reflect the turbulent times leading up to the war, including works that capture historical moments related to the Manchurian Empire, records of major accidents and disasters that occurred in the 1930s, and works that convey the state of Japanese industry before the war.
