POPE LEO XIV
This presentation pairs the ancient art of Peepal Leaf Oil Painting (circa 52 AD) with a modern digital art print to commemorate the first USA-born Pope. A recreation of centuries-old art in the digital age.

The double-frame image features a hand-painted portrait of Pope Leo XIV (elected May 8, 2025) on a Peepal leaf affixed to a black card base suitable for framing. The panel alongside shows a high-resolution digital print on a light green background on UV gloss stock. A side-by-side comparison.

Thanks to the dedication of the few artists in India who still use these traditional techniques, we were able to recreate FIFTY hand-painted original peepal leaf oil portraits of the Pope. These limited-edition paintings will be available exclusively online through our Etsy shop platform.
