Silent Hiking the Lost Coast in Spring

I solo backpacked alone the Lost Coast trail, the most remote and undeveloped stretch of coastline in the continental United States, located in Northern California. This is an ambient silent hiking film with ethereal music and no talking.

🗺️ About the route:

The dates I hiked were April 21-23 2025. The Lost Coast trail is 25 miles and passes through the King Range Wilderness, where the Pacific Ocean meets dramatic cliffs, and tide timing is essential for a safe journey. I used a shuttle for this trip, so I parked my car at Shelter Cove, took a shuttle to Mattole beach then hiked southward back to my car. Even though the Lost Coast is a popular destination, there's actually a lot of solitude because the permit system limits the amount of hikers.
