The Big Cat Reading Lesson for Kids: Level A Pattern Book: Learning to Read

Mrs. Hayes teaches beginning readers how to read a Level A pattern book! Reading A to Z Level A books have a pattern on each page with only one word to decode. Readers can decode the word by using their eagle eyes to look at the picture or sounding out the unknown word. Mrs. Hayes also introduces one to one correspondence, which she calls the jumping frog, so that readers know they should touch each word as they read.
