In this video we have a go at restoring a Dinky Hawker Hurricane MK IIc model number 718 but in fact this particular one started out as the Dinky Action Kit 1041. It is missing its 20mm cannon, propeller and canopy which we will replace with new parts.
Dettol is also used and it works!
We will create new transfers for it using waterslide A4 paper and an Inkjet printer. Not all goes to plan and so some decals are sourced from a 1970s Gloucester Meteor kit by Matchbox and a Revell Blackburn Skua of about the same vintage.
Transfers for a 1/72 scale model kit will work on these models so are an option if you want to do a custom colour scheme for yourself.
