Removing laminated kevlar (Aramid) layers is very difficult with a grinder because it rips the grit off the sanding pads makes lots of yellow fluff.
Its possible with a Festool RAS115 . But it needs lots of cleaning, the dust extraction and grinder.
Using a Recip Saw with flexible blade helps cutting the bulk heads away close to the hull.
Getting the Kevlar away is time consuming and there is a better way to do it. But be careful not to sink your boat.
People have looked strange at me for it but chiseling goes a lot better .
Lots of helpful info we hope you enjoy episode 049
