Walking Tour of Thao Dien, Saigon: Where Most Westerners Choose to Live

In this travel vlog, I take you on a walking tour around the main areas of Thao Dien, District 2, Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City). This is the most popular place for Western expats (people from America, England, Australia, etc) to live in Saigon. Many of the businesses here cater to western needs, and many of the local Vietnamese in this area speak English fairly well.

I’ve personally never lived in this neighborhood, but I have visited many times and have several friends who have lived here for a really long time. Western expats find this area to be very comfortable and suitable for them.

For anyone looking for an area to live in Ho Chi Minh City that is more catered towards western needs and comforts, Thao Dien may be the best option for you.
