WE BOUGHT A 50 YEAR OLD SWEDISH SAILBOAT

In this week's video, we share the story of the last 9 months and how, with your help and support, we were able to make our dream of buying a bluewater sailboat a reality. Buying a boat isn't easy. There's so much to figure out when it comes to what type of boat you want - sailboat or powerboat? New boat or old boat? Big or small? What's your budget? Where do you want to look for a boat? How many cabins? Is it bluewater rated? We're so happy that my brother David took lead on this part of the process because he knows the most about boats out of the three of us.

We can't explain how grateful we are that you guys showed up for our eBook Live Creatively because with that money we were able to buy Penelope - a 50 year old Hallberg Rassy Rasmus 35. She has a center cockpit, two cabins, a spacious galley/saloon, and more charm than we could have ever imagined. This sailboat was designed for the open ocean in Sweden and many other owners of this exact model boat have actually circumnavigated, so we're hoping that we made the right decision. Lou and I have been dreaming of sailing around the world for over 6 years now and are so humbled that we are finally at the precipice of this grand adventure. We can't wait to share this next chapter of our life with you and are excited to show you a proper boat tour next week so you can really see how our new tiny house is laid out. We still have a lot to get her ready for our voyage like installing solar panels and modifying a few sections, but we really feel like we found a keeper!
