billy woods, rapper and founder of independent record label Backwoodz Studioz, sits down for a conversation fresh off the release of Armand Hammer's new Alchemist-produced album 'Mercy.'
The New York City-based artist has become a stalwart of independent hip-hop, releasing critically acclaimed music for over two decades and collaborating with some of the most respected names in rap: Earl Sweatshirt, El-P, Aesop Rock, Conductor Williams, Elucid, and Danny Brown to name a few.
Even as billy woods gains recognition, he continues to keep a relatively low profile and prefers to hide his face in photos—and in this video.
