Prince Andrew’s fall from grace following Epstein scandal

Prince Andrew has been officially stripped of his royal titles, marking a dramatic fall from the heart of the monarchy.

Once regarded as the late Queen’s ‘favourite child’, the King’s brother has been removed from his royal position following years of scandal linking him to
convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Revelations that Andrew, along with his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, stayed in contact with Epstein long after publicly claiming ties were cut, intensified public and political pressure.

Anger also focused on Andrew’s continued occupation of the 30-room Royal Lodge, amid reports he paid little or no commercial rent for decades despite no longer carrying out royal duties, prompting calls from MPs for scrutiny.

With pressure mounting, the King took the unprecedented step of stripping Andrew of his titles, saying the action was ‘deemed necessary’, while expressing sympathy for victims and survivors of abuse.

Now facing eviction and a forced move to a smaller royal property, Andrew’s future and the damage to the monarchy’s reputation remain under intense scrutiny.
