Wharncliffe Woods MTB: Boggy Crashes, Downhill Trails and a Strava KOM

Welcome back to the channel! In this video we’re riding at the legendary Wharncliffe Woods, an absolute Mecca for mountain bikers in the UK. Known for its technical downhill trails, steep descents, rooty singletrack, and hidden gems, Wharncliffe attracts riders from all over who want to test their skills on some of the toughest natural terrain around.

We spent the day hitting all the classic Wharncliffe MTB trails. Plenty of fast descents, sketchy corners, and rooty sections kept us on our toes. But as always, something had to go wrong—I launched off the fire road and straight into a boggy ditch! Completely soaked and covered in mud, I had to ride back to the car and get changed before heading out for round two. 😂

After regrouping (and drying off), I climbed back up to send it on the Alec & Thora trail and managed to snag a Strava KOM! Super proud to take the crown on one of Wharncliffe’s most iconic runs.
