U.S army carry out joint exercise with Italian forces amid war in Ukraine

DRAMATIC footage shows the U.S army carrying out historic joint military exercises with the Italian army amid war in Ukraine.

The 1st Air cavalry brigade from Fort Hood, Texas joined the Italian Brigata parachutisti paratroopers brigade in completing the largest air assault training mission in the parachute brigade’s history.

An air assault is a military technique utilised with vertical lift assets to maximise the surprise shock value to destroy or neutralise the enemy.

It is typically employed in areas that are difficult to enter because of terrain or other limiting factors and maximises the ability to seize and hold those key areas.
