U.S. Gold Corp Chairman Luke Norman talked with Proactive at the One2One Investor Forum on the company’s fully permitted CK Gold Project in Wyoming and the clear path ahead to production.
The project is a copper-gold deposit located close to Cheyenne, Wyoming, with a significant infrastructure advantage, including road, rail, power and water access. Norman noted the project will be the first hard rock mine in the state in over 100 years and said, “We’re probably one of the only truly fully permitted copper-gold projects in North America ready to go.”
Norman explained that the project is nearing completion of its definitive feasibility study, with advanced engineering wrapping up by late December and publication expected in January. The company plans to fund the mine primarily through debt, not equity, to avoid dilution, and expects a rapid capital payback period. He added that construction could begin immediately once funding is secured, with production targeted within 18 months.
The CK Project also includes 1.7 million ounces of proven and probable gold reserves, a potential 1 billion USD in byproduct granite rock, and 2 million ounces of silver in concentrate. Post-mining, the open pit may be repurposed for state water storage and renewable energy support, offering long-term value beyond metals production.
