坪林 虎寮潭～特殊狗齒地形、北勢溪風光 (Huliaotan)

虎寮潭是坪林著名的景點之一，擁有美麗的北勢溪風光及特殊的狗齒地形。虎寮潭，舊稱「虎尾寮」，是簡易工寮的意思。清朝嘉慶中葉（約1808年前後），泉州人張豬、曾守開闢此地。
Huliaotan is one of the well-known attractions in Pinglin, with beautiful Beishi River scenery and special dogtooth terrain. Huliaotan, formerly known as "Huweiliao", means simple block-house. in Mid Jiaqing period of Qing Dynasty (about 1808), Zhang Zhu and Zeng Shou, who were from Quanzhou, reclaimed this place.

虎寮潭曾經是淡蘭古道路經之地。根據《噶瑪蘭廳輿圖冊／道里》記載：「近年木拔道通，生番斂跡；頭圍新闢小路一條，山程九十餘里，可一日而抵艋舺。」
Huliaotan used to be the place where the Tamsui-Kavalan Historical Trails jpassed. According to the reocoed of "Kavalan Atlas / The Roads" : "In recent years, the wooden have been feeled, the road hase been built, Barbarians have been away; a new path has been constructed from Touwei. about 90 Chinese miles walking in mountains, Bangka can be reached in one day.

從虎寮潭沿著產業道路走往粗石斛吊橋約1.5公里，步行時間約25~30分鐘。
It's 1.5 kilometers walking along the rural road from Huliaotan to Cushihu Suspension Bridge, and the walking time is about 25-30 minutes.
