Sing Out America is proud to present, "The Hopper Brothers and Connie" (The Hoppers) from their concert taping for our television program, "Sing Out America!" The Hopper Brothers and Connie/The Hoppers were frequent guest stars on SOA with their award winning performances!
The Hopper Brothers and Connie, later simply "The Hoppers" are a family ensemble which first began performing together in 1957. Among their extensive honors, the group appeared at the inauguration ceremony for Ronald Reagan in 1981. The Hoppers won awards for Mixed Vocal Group from the Southern Gospel Music Association in 1982 and 1983, when this presentation was taped for SOA!
Both Claude and Connie Hopper were inducted into the Southern Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 2014 (Claude) and 2010 (Connie) respectively. In addition, the Hoppers were inducted into the Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame in 2012.
Today, this multi-award winning group continues their 60 years of performing, and "Sing Out America" was thrilled they recorded several times for our program! Join Dean Hopper singing lead, Debra Talley singing soprano,
