Between June 4-5, 1960, four teenagers - Maila Irmeli Björklund, Anja Tuulikki Mäki, Seppo Antero Boisman, and Nils Wilhelm Gustafsson - were brutally murdered while camping on the shores of Lake Bodom in Espoo, Finland. The victims, all between the ages of 15 and 18, were found dead with severe injuries, including stab wounds and blunt force trauma.
The Lake Bodom murders remain one of Finland's most infamous unsolved crimes. Despite numerous investigations and tips over the years, no one has been officially convicted of the murders. The case has spawned various theories and suspects, but the true identity of the killer(s) remains a mystery.
