Hello everyone!
Let's take a Sunday stroll along the southern bank of the Main in the Sachsenhausen district.
Schaumainkai is the Museum Embankment, where most of Frankfurt's museums are located.
The embankment is so named because there are 26 museums located on it.
It is the cultural centre of Frankfurt and hosts various cultural events.
These are: the Museum of Icons, the Museum of Applied Arts, the Museum of World Cultures, the Museum of Communications, the German Museum of Architecture, the Museum of Sculpture, the German Film Museum, and the Städel Art Institute.


In spring, at the end of May, the "Night of Museums" is usually held here, when all the museums are open all night.

Walking along Schaumainkai, we can admire the beauty of the amazing views of Frankfurt's banking district.


We also have a panoramic view of the Main with its bridges and the movement of ships, passers-by strolling along the shore and city dwellers relaxing on the shore.

Frankfurt's largest flea market is held on Saturdays at the Schaumainkai.

Our journey ends today with a walk along Eiserner Steg.
