If you are looking to create a 2 or three color design on a t-shirt, layering HTV vinyl on shirts is an option that can give you lovely results. Here we created a design using Cricut Everyday Iron-On HTV and Siser glitter HTV to show you how easy it can be. This is a simple tutorial for beginners as well as for seasoned makers who want to try something new.
Steps for how to make a t-shirt with heat transfer vinyl:
1. Make or upload your design in Cricut design space
2. Place the HTV vinyl, shiny side down, on cutting mat. Remember to mirror the design in cut settings and cut
3. If needed, weed then remove excess vinyl from carrier, leaving only the design
4. Use a lint brush to remove lint form shirt
5. Heat press the first HTV vinyl, making sure to follow the manufacturer's instructions for temperature. Use a teflon sheet or regular copy paper to protect your machine. Peel hot or cold, according to the manufacturer's instructions.
6. Heat press the subsequent HTV vinyl colors, making sure to follow the manufacturer's instructions for temperature. Use a teflon sheet or regular copy paper to protect your machine. Peel hot or cold, according to the manufacturer's instructions.

ABOUT US:
We are a married couple who started this channel in 2022 from Buenos Aires after we bought a heat press. Our goal was to experiment with sublimation printing and document different materials and blanks in order to see which products we liked to work with. Now we are back in Tatiana's hometown of Montreal and will be testing products found in North America. If you're in the process of building your own product-based business, we will be giving sublimation and HTV tips and tricks as we learn (and we'll be spending cash on samples so you don't have to). If you find our information interesting and helpful, please like and subscribe today!
