How to Play Amiga Games on Windows PC Tutorial 2022

This video is a very simple all-in-one tutorial on how to play Amiga games on modern Windows PC. Everything that you will require for it is included in its contents and you'll be able to start playing in just a few minutes.

To make matters simple I cover the very basic A500 emulation here because it runs 95% of all Amiga games and because setting up WHDLOAD on faster machines is a bit more challenging. Or at the very least time consuming. And I wanted this video to be an easy entry point to anyone interested in this classic 16bit system and its games.

For the purpose of creating this video I've used WinUAE emulator which I recommend to anyone at least semi-interested in Amiga gaming and not willing to spend money on real hardware. All that is required to play the games is:

The WinUAE emulator (https://winuae.net)
Amiga's kickstart file
ADF files with games (https://planetemu.net)

ADF files are disk images corresponding to floppy disks used for Amiga games. You can easily find them with a bit of googling usually by typing something akin to "game title adf amiga download". Same could be said about kickstart files but these can also be purchased via Amiga Forever website with one of their packs (https://www.amigaforever.com) or even cheaper (last time I checked it was $0.99) on Android as a part of Amiga Forever Essentials. And these files can be easily moved to PC.

I make those videos in my spare time and currently work towards replacing a mic, couple of bits here and there in my editing rig - as it has developed a nasty habit of crashing my editing software on a totally random basis - and hopefully a camera.
