Honest reMarkable Paper Pro Move REVIEW

At first glance, the „Remarkable Paper Pro Move“ seems like the ideal travel-friendly note-taking tablet: a good, compact built, useful color E Ink, and solid features, now even with handwriting search. But the closer I looked, the more it became clear that the portability comes at a cost.

It’s way more expensive than it should be and it’s sometimes more awkward to hold than I thought it would be—despite clearly trying to be more handheld—and the narrow screen makes writing in portrait mode feel cramped.

But: It still has that Remarkable charm, with solid software and decent battery life, but for a premium device that’s all about writing, it makes some strange compromises.

So, is this the portable paper tablet we’ve been waiting for—or just a good-looking idea banking on your fear of missing out?

Let’s start with the hardware—because that was actually a surprise, both in a good and a not-so-good way.
