Cloning guarantees desired genetic traits, enhancing success rates and adaptability to local conditions. The best spots to cut are above the gill tissue in the middle of the stipe (stem) or at the base. Be careful not to take gill tissue which can contain #spores, as propagating from spores guarantees genetic variation.
