On Tuesday 6 December 2022, Air Greenland will be handed over its latest investment, an A330-800 named Tuukkaq (Harpoon Head).
As a prelude to Tuukkaq taking off on its maiden flight from Airbus' factory in Toulouse, France to Kangerlussuaq on Wednesday 7 December 2022, Air Greenland has produced four short films that explore the full creation process - from the consideration of investing in an aircraft in 2019 to it landing and being ready for the scheduled flight on 19 December 2022 between Kangerlussuaq and Copenhagen.
In this video we look at why Air Greenland chose to invest in a new aircraft, why the choice fell on the A330-800 model, about the build of the aircraft and the focus on sustainability.
