In this guitar lesson video I demonstrate how I use the thumb pick for chicken pickin and all other styles of guitar playing. I don't play the Chet Atkins, Mearle Travis kind of style. These guys would use an alternating thumb technique for picking bass lines. My thumb picking style is much more simplfied than that, more of a Brent Mason, modern country sound.
