Understanding the Neurovascular Network to Prevent Dementia

Dementia represents one of the greatest global health challenges of our time, with an urgent need for prevention-focused strategies. The latest evidence highlights the critical role of the neurovascular network—including cerebral blood flow, the blood-brain barrier, and cerebral drainage systems—in maintaining cognitive function and brain health.
This symposium brings together leading international experts whose work spans the entire spectrum of neurovascular biology, from fundamental mechanisms to clinical application. Through a multidisciplinary perspective, cutting-edge research on the vascular contribution to cognitive decline will be presented, including findings on small vessel disease, cerebral blood flow dynamics, blood-brain barrier integrity, and the interaction between glial cells and the vasculature.
