This game really catapulted Ohio State's national title run. Everyone knew Washington State was good this year. The Buckeyes shutting down their offense after their first score on their first drive of the game, with Washington State running over most of the Pac 10 en route to a Rose Bowl confirmed the Buckeyes were for real. The Buckeyes were kind of blessed to have this game on the schedule.
