If an individual hears that free will is an illusion, they might think this means they are powerless.
However, as articulated by the spiritual masters, it actually means that only God exists, doing everything perfectly without interference—thus, they appear powerful as they allow it to happen.
The experience of there being no personal free will is something we’ve all had. It’s the experience of being in flow.
While we’re in flow, there is no illusion of separation, no sense of personal will—yet everything appears to be in harmony. It’s also in flow that we come to realize, through direct experience, that God does everything in our favor, as only God alone exists.
To experience flow—or the Way, which some call the Tao—is to live in alignment with life itself. The Way of life is flow. It’s also referred to as non-doing or effortless action.
The experience of effortless action isn’t just a real experience—it’s the realest experience of reality itself.
To experience THE WAY more fully, or the natural flow of life which is always in perfect harmony, we surrender the illusion of the “I”—the conditions placed upon consciousness that suggest this versus that, or us versus them.
Because only God alone exists, there is no this versus that, or us versus them.
It’s not this versus that, it’s this AND that. Not us versus them, but us AND them as only God alone exists.
This is The Way. Or as you may have heard before: I Am The Way.
The Way or The Tao of life is flow.
This is what I’d like to explore with you today.
