Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter [Arcade] - Cyber-Akuma

This is a play-through using Cyber-Akuma in the Arcade version of Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter. Read on below for more information...

Cyber-Akuma is the final boss in the game. He is a non-selectable character in this version of it.

===== About Cyber-Akuma =====
He's basically the 'Marvel' version of Shin Akuma. He is quite a fitting boss for the Capcom side in the game, and unlike Apocalypse, he actually provides a decent challenge for the player. I found it very disappointing that he wasn't in Marvel vs. Capcom 2... if you ask me, he would've made a perfect hidden boss in it.

Gameplay-wise, he obviously plays very similarly to regular Akuma... just think of Cyber-Akuma as a powered-up version of regular Akuma and you've got it. It's ridiculous on how absurdly powerful this guy is... he dashes fast, has large fireballs which he recovers quickly from, can combo well, can combo into ground supers easily and inflicts massive energy depletion.

===== Additional Information =====

---- On the character select screen, if Cyber-Akuma is highlighted, pressing any direction on the D-pad will lock and reset the game. This is because the game tries to highlight a value which is beyond the boundaries.

---- You must select Cyber-Akuma as both your characters in order to play as him as a proper lone character.

---- If you select a partner with Cyber-Akuma (Cyber-Akuma must be the 1st character), he actually has an Support stance when swapping partner or calling partner support. He also has an Support move as well when his partner calls him in to support - it's his Hurricane Kick. He has a team super as well - it's the High Mega Gou Beam. This is somewhat surprising considering that he is not meant to have a partner at all in the game.

---- If you complete the game with him, he has normal Akuma's winning dialogue text, and his 'ending' is an image of Ryu from the intro with the message: 'MSH VS STREET FIGHTER COMING SOON' below. This appears to an image used for early beta versions of the game when someone completes it.

---- His dialogue text against Apocalypse is the same as regular Akuma's.

---- Despite being a non-selectable character, he has an alternative colour palette - the red palette. This was done to distinguish him from normal Akuma if they fight each other.

---- He is programmed to operate as a lone single character. A slight flaw occurs where he doesn't appear at all if he is selected as the 2nd character.

---- When playing him in a team (him being the 1st character), if he wins a match he doesn't appear on the winning screen.

---- As a normal-sized boss character, he can appear on other backgrounds.

---- His basic overhead move (F + [MP]) is never used by the CPU, meaning that it can only be seen when a human player uses it.

---- When he does the Thunder Gou Shower, for some reason it doesn't have the super combo dramatic background.

---- His character design is very slightly based on his console version Cyberbots appearance (as Z-Gouki)... notice the identical mechanical arm and face plate.

---- In Japan, he is known as Mech-Gouki.

===== About MSHvSF =====
MSHvSF was created with too much "hype" and "company fanboyism". The roster is questionable, because aside from Cyber-Akuma and Norimaro (the latter being only available in the Japanese version), the rest of the roster are recycled from other games. The Capcom roster I think has too many shotos. The soundtrack however is new and is well-composed.

Nevertheless, it's a fun game all the same... I do like Cyber-Akuma / Mech-Gouki a lot, and I think he is one of the better unplayable characters to play as. Wolverine is a problem in this game though... it's ridiculous on just how utterly overpowered he is.
