Step 1
Moisturise
What I use: Garnier Moisture match Dry/Normal
Pick a moisturiser that fits your skin type
Moisturiser actually gives your makeup something to hold on to
so it will sit better on the skin and last longer.

Step 2
Prime
What I use: Smashbox Photoready
Primer put a barrier between your skin and it's natural oils and your foundation.
They create a smooth base for the foundation to sit on.
It's not necessary for everyday use but if you have a problematic skin type it can really help.

Step 3
Conceal/Correct
What I use: Blankcanvas Cosmetic Concealer/corrector palette

It's person preference whether you want to apply concealer before or after foundation, but if your using a corrected it should come first.
Correctors are different concealer tones that counteract unwanted tones found in the skin.

Yellow Contracts Red
Green Contracts Red
Purple Contracts Dull Sallow skintone
Salmon Contracts Blue/Purples under eyes

I'm using this salmon tone to counter act the blues and purples under my eyes. Only apply where it's needed to avoid over correcting.
For redness I'm using yellow and green correctors
We all have some form of unwanted redness in the skin
this is one of the best way to contract it.

Step 4
Foundation
What I used: Blank Canvas Cosmetic Foundation Palette

Choose a foundation to suit your coverage needs:
If you have good skin keep it sheer
Avoid full coverage unless it necessary
Use a medium coverage foundation instead

Start by stippling over the corrector or concealer
A stippling motion is a dapping or pushing Technique will avoid disturbing what we already applied

Focus on the ares that need the most coverage
and then use whatever is left over on the brush on the rest
Keep the application sheers on any area with hairs
including the hairline, around the brows


Step 5 Set the Foundation
Setting Spray: Victoria Secret Makeup Setting Spray
What I use: Blank Canvas Cosmetics Contour Palette 1

To keep the foundation is place you could try a setting spray
or a press or loose powder and a large powder brush.
Pick up some powder on one side of the brush,
tap off the excess and start dap over the foundation to set the makeup in place.

If you worry about cakeness use blotting paper first to remove excess oils from the foundation.

Using this pressing motion will prevent the foundation from moving or smudging. We all have natural hairs on the face work in downwards stokes will lay the hairs down flat.

And there you go 5 steps to flawless foundation!
